OUR SPACES
We have a range of facilities and spaces available at The Hive which give the community centre a flexible use. All of our Phase 1 spaces are fully accessible on the ground floor.

Our community room is great for meetings, groups, workshops or just as a quiet space!
It can be booked for up to 15 people.

Exhibition & Gallery
Situated right at the front of our building, our exhibition space really makes an impact!
Ideal for large-scale long term exhibitions, we’d love to hear about your ideas for the space.
Studio Facilities
Not just one, but two studios, with the smoothest lighting setup in Fife!
The two spaces currently come as one bookable space, with an ideal occupancy of up to 6 people.
They are great for media programmes and workshops, and we can provide equipment depending on your needs, all from £12 per hour.
Lending Library
Fancy getting lost in a good book or just reading up on the most recent research about LGBT+ lives?
‘The Library Is Officially OPEN!’
Come along and take one of our extensive range to read at The Hive, or speak to a member of staff to take the book out on loan.
We also have a selection of donated DVDs and BluRay films to purchase or hire.
The Café
Meeting friends or just need some down time in a nice environment? Pop in to our new cafe!
We’re open from 12pm Mon – Sat serving up fresh sandwiches, panini’s, snacks and drinks at an affordable price.
Our full café menu is available everyday, just pay at the till – we accept cash or card payments.

THE CAFÉ
Our café at The Hive is a welcoming, relaxing space to come and spend time with friends, meet new people or just have a bit of time to yourself.
We have a range of food and drink available, all at affordable prices. Please also speak to us if you have any allergies or intolerances, and we will do our best to cater for your needs.

Whilst we finish up our full menu, we can offer filled sandwiches, baked potatoes, panini’s and more – please ask our team about what options are available when you visit.
VOLUNTEERING
Our people are the beating heart of our community centre!
The Hive volunteer team keep you safe and provide all the events and activities as part of our weekly programme.
If you’d like to join the team, we’d love to hear from you. We are accepting volunteer applications for anyone aged 18+ right now.

Getting here:
We’re right behind Kirkcaldy Bus Station and just 6 minutes walk from Kirkcaldy Train Station.
Parking is available on-street outside our premises on Whytescauseway, pay and display operated by Fife Council. No private parking is available.
Please note: Public street parking is available on Whytescauseway on a first come, first served basis – please see the signposted restrictions and ticket machines for further information. Alternatively, see Fife Council’s website regarding parking in Kirkcaldy.
